+++CORONA DIARIES 2+++ "Missing so much" by Xenia Lenz, 9a
"Missing so much" by Xenia Lenz, 9a
It has been already two weeks since quarantine started and the whole situation is quite strange to all of us. We have school at home, well rather we have a lot of homework for three weeks. And everything is closed and we are restricted on going out.
It’s a very hard time for me and probably for everyone. Through this hard situation I realized how precious my friends are and how good we live. We never worried about things which we need to run out and now people are getting paranoid and things run out in all grocery shops like toilet paper, flour, milk, noodles and other things. I also realized that, however school seems boring and unnecessary, it’s not. We get to learn things that are important like teamwork and taking criticism. We have there the chance to ask for help to learn from sort of “pros“ , who can explain us things and make it easier for us to understand these topics and subjects.
It’s hard not to be able seeing my friends and my grandmother. Sure we live in a time where we can text each other and call each other whenever we want to, but it is still not the same. We are not able to act like we do in person, we are not able to make memories and, it might sound cliché, we are not able to hug each other or just nag and annoy each other.
I really hope the situation will calm down soon. And I think everyone can agree that we should be all thankful to all the heroes that stay and work and make sure that we are healthy and we get all necessary things.
