Francis the native Indian visits 9d
Visit of an Indian guest in grade 9d with Miss Engelhorn
On Tuesday, 22nd of March 2016 an Indian guest visited class 9d in the bilingual EWG-lesson to talk about India.
The topic India is taught bilingual in grade 9, therefore it was very interesting and helpful for the students to have a native speaker and a real Indian man at school. The boys and girls came up with various questions; the school system, education, the bright and the dark side with slums or Bollywood, traditional food, spoken languages, the climate, street children, traditional clothes, religions and much more. The teenagers were very interested in getting to know more about the culture and the life in India and
listened carefully to everything Francis told them about. The highlight was a typical Sari, one girl was able to try on in class.
A big thanks to Francis, who came to THRS to introduce his home country and culture to our pupils of Kornwestheim.
